Iphone Os 3.0 Software Upgrade Availiable after 6pm on O2 UK

O2 have yet again confirmed the upgrade process will start @ 6pm GMT

Although the new software launches tonight O2 customers will need to update their web setting as follows :

Here’s what you’ll need to do:

1. From the main screen of your iPhone tap Settings > General > Network
   
2. Under Cellular Data Network
   • For Pay & Go customers. Tap APN and change idata.o2.co.uk and enter payandgo.o2.co.uk (Please note that “o2″ needs to be written with a letter “o” and not a zero)
     
   • For Pay Monthly customers. Tap APN and change idata.o2.co.uk and enter mobile.o2.co.uk (Please note that “o2″ needs to be written with a letter “o” and not a zero)
   • You don’t need to change your username and password
3. Ignore the Visual Voicemail APN box – it’s not available to Pay & Go customers
   
4. Under MMS
   • For Pay & Go customers. Tap APN and change idata.o2.co.uk and enter payandgo.o2.co.uk (Please note that o2 needs to be written with a letter o and not a zero)
   • For Pay Monthly customers. Tap APN and change idata.o2.co.uk and enter wap.o2.co.uk (Please note that o2 needs to be written with a letter o and not a zero)
   • You don’t need to change your username and password
5. Turn your iPhone off and on again
   
6. Top up your iPhone by at least £10

 

If you’ve got a 2G iPhone, you won’t be able to send picture messages. But we’ll send you a text message with a link so you can view them online.

Please note, that some Corporate profiles do not allow MMS, check with you mobile administrator if in doubt.

If you’re a Pay Monthly customer not on an iPhone tariff, to get the full experience you may be able to change to one of our tariffs for iPhone:

• Pay Monthly
  You can call O2 Customer Service to discuss your options to move to one of our tariffs for iPhone
• Business
  To add the iPhone Bolt On, please complete our online form and your tariff transfer will take place within the next 24hrs. Complete now.
• Corporate
  To add the iPhone Bolt On just contact your O2 Account Manager or Account Administrator to discuss your options.
